This studio aimed at a deep understanding of the structural, programmatic, sociological, cultural and aesthetic layers of an existing multi-storey-building chosen by each student. After drawing exercises to create the basis of their work, the students analyzed their perception of the chosen building or a particular area of it. It was important to understand structure, rhythm and atmosphere of the spaces and be able to translate them into diagrams. Based on these analytical diagrams, an intervention was projected to alter and enhance the experience of the existing spatial layout.
