Anna Ogden-Smith is Managing Director of the Association for the Promotion and Exhibition of the Arts in Lebanon (APEAL), a role she has held since May 2014. As a visual artist, Anna Ogden-Smith’s body of work spans across the moving image, graphic design and writing. Her projects experiment with several mediums crafted around specific narratives that aim to engage the audience through different modes of reading. Her work has been part of collective exhibitions at the Royal College of Art in London, UK in 2012-2013. “Clear Blue Skies” was screened at the Vancouver Film Festival in 2013 and at the British Film Institute. “The Dream (1989-1994)” and “The Lie (1994)” were screened at the New Museum in New York. They were also shown at the Musée du Jeu de Paume, Paris, Haus Der Kulturen Der Welt, Berlin and Reine Sofia National Museum, Madrid in 2008. She has performed “Iconoclast Scriptures” at the New Player’s Theater in London in 2006. She designed the art book “ A Lost Summer, Postcards from Lebanon” published by Saqi Books in 2007.
