The Department of Architecture and Interior Design is organizing a lecture entitled " City Limits and Landscape."
The lecture will be delivered by Elia Zenghelis an architect and professor of architecture.
Zenghelis divides his time between Belgium, Greece, Switzerland and The Netherlands. He studied and taught for 20 years at the Architectural Association in London. He is one of the original founders of the Office for Metropolitan Architecture, in partnership with Rem Koolhaas. In 1987 he established Gigantes Zenghelis Architects in Athens and Brussels with Eleni Gigantes, a practice that executed work in Albania, Belgium and Greece. He taught at the Düsseldorf Academy of Fine Arts from 1990 to 2002 and at the Berlage Institute for 20 years; He also was visiting professor at Columbia University, New York, Princeton University, UCLA, and other schools of architecture in the United States, South America, Greece, Spain and Japan; since 1998 he is visiting professor at the EPFL Lausanne and the ETH in Zürich; He taught at the Accademia di Archittetura in Mendrisio, Switzerland until 2007. He was awarded the RIBA Annie Spink Award for outstanding contribution to architectural education in 2001.
