Juliana Najem Sfeir has a master’s degree in urban design from the American University of Beirut and a B.A. from Los Andes University in Columbia. She has 15 years of experience as project manager in several rural development projects, characterized by a community-based approach for sustainable development. This has enabled Najem to deliver an urban design studio with a focus on rural areas, enabling students to have direct contact with towns and villages. Her experience in education is mainly in History of Architecture, Design Studio and training of trainers sessions for rural development. In addition, she was an architecture consultant in several engineering and architecture projects before specializing in rural development.
