Youssef Gerges graduated with a Ph.D. in Mechanics, specialized in vibrations and acoustics problems, from the University of Besançon in France in 2013. After having completed his master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Ph.D., he was associated with the National Institute of Applied Sciences in Lyon as a post-doctorate fellow where he worked on studying and validating the vibroacoustic problem of a lighten cabin truck for urban transportations. The classes that he currently teaches in several universities (LAU, USEK and the Lebanese University) mainly focus on mechanical and electrical fields for future architects, engineers and physicists. At LAU, he is a faculty member in the School of Architecture and Design, where he teaches environmental systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting and acoustics systems for architects).
