Architecture “Work in Context”

Frem Auditorium 205, Byblos campus

The Department of Architecture and Interior Design is hosting a lecture entitled “Work in Context” conducted by Cindy Menassa.

Menassa is an architect, currently living and practicing in Lebanon. Having worked in several offices in Los Angeles, Beirut and Berlin, she co-founded Menassa Külby Architects and joined the Lebanese American University as a part-time faculty member in 2010. She holds a B.S. in Architecture from Portland State University and a Master of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc). Her graduate thesis about deterritorialization and reterritorialization in Downtown Beirut was awarded and exhibited as one of five best thesis works at SCI-Arc. She also has a strong interest in broader theoretical debates about design processes and the relation of architecture to urban morphology.
