Applied Heart

The Department of Design is hosting a talk and exhibition titled “Applied Heart” by Jorge Montero.

Jorge Montero is a Venezuelan graphic designer, illustrator, visual artist and educator with more than 22 years of university teaching experience. He holds an M.A. and M.F.A. from the University of Iowa in Graphic Design and Drawing. He has taught for eleven years as a Professor at Savannah College of Art & Design. He has also been an international lecturer and guest professor in China, France, Germany, the United States, South Africa, Czech Republic, Kuwait, Cuba, El Salvador, Puerto Rico, Spain, Columbia, Venezuela, and Guatemala. He has exhibited in China, Germany, Spain, Kuwait, the United States, Guatemala, and Venezuela. In addition, he has worked as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator as well as an editorial cartoonist.
