Professor João Nunes visited LAU on March 22 to give a lecture entitled Time and Landscape. The open lecture was followed by a three-day workshop on landscape design for LAU students.
Nunes is the Founder and CEO of the landscape architecture studio PROAP, which gathers a large group of professionals in a cross-disciplinary team.
As international director, he is responsible for the strategic and tactical decisions of three international offices, namely Lisbon (Portugal), Luanda (Angola) and Treviso (Italy).
He develops PROAP’s conceptual and creative design, leads project development and defines the strategic orientation of research processes.
He has lectured at the Institute Superior de Agronomia in Lisbon since 1992. He also lectures at the Instituto Universitario de Architettura de Venezia, Poitecnico de Milano, Politecnico di Torino, Roma La Sapienza, and Roma Ludovico Quaroni.
He is associate professor in the School of Architecture of Alghero and full professor at Academia di Architettura di Mendrisio.
