Alia Noueihed’s thesis revolved about the Artist/Curator; in which she delved into the intermingling functions of the artist and that of the independent curator, settling thus the line between artistic and curatorial authorship.
Her work is very intimate, dealing with the personal relation(s) she develops with people, things and conceptions. Recurring themes in her work are, among others, dreams and memory. From video to mixed media, she works with diverse mediums, choosing with each project, the one she senses is unsurpassed.
She participated in collective exhibitions in Beirut, namely Salon d’Automne’s 32nd (2016).
