Dima Khairallah
Chair of the School Advisory Council
Dima Khairallah is an architect and partner at the firm of Samir Khairallah & Partners. Her design approach is contextual and detail oriented, seeking harmony and expression through the intrinsic challenges set by the specific conditions of the project. She was responsible for Ignatius Hall ‐ the Administration Building of the University of Balamand, Byblos Bank Regional Headquarters in Jbeil and Saadeh Memorial in Dhour el Choueir, in addition to other residential and mixed‐use projects. Her work has been published in local press and international reviews.
Following an early childhood in Lebanon, Dima grew up in the United Kingdom where she pursued her secondary studies and received her Bachelor of Architecture degree with Honors from the University of Bath. Fascinated by Pre‐Columbian civilizations, she spent a year travelling through South America while studying and working in Chile before joining the studio of Rafael Moneo in Madrid, where she collaborated on the detail design of the Souks of Beirut.
Dima is an alumna of the Harvard Graduate School of Design (MArch II with Distinction). She has taught design studios at the American University of Beirut and more recently at the Académie Libanaise des Beaux Arts (ALBA).
