Johnny Fenianos

Born in Lebanon, Dr. Johnny Fenianos is an international consultant and researcher specializing in environmental sciences and socio-environmental dynamics. With nearly two decades of experience in environmental management, he has led and contributed to sustainable development initiatives across diverse regions, including Lebanon, France, Armenia, Morocco, Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, through his work with ECOMED France. His expertise spans forest management, environmental impact assessments, and quarry rehabilitation strategies.

Dr. Fenianos holds a PhD in Environmental, Social, and Cognitive Psychology from the University of Montpellier III, France, where his research integrated psychological principles into ecological restoration and environmental management. His academic trajectory includes a post-doctoral fellowship at the CEE-M Laboratory, University of Montpellier, specializing in environmental economics, as well as advanced degrees in Business Administration from the University of the Holy Spirit, Kaslik, Lebanon.

His career is distinguished by a multidisciplinary approach that bridges ecological science, psychology, and community engagement. He has played an active role in high-level policy-making, serving on a consulting committee with a former Lebanese Prime Minister, where he contributed to the National Sustainable Development Strategy. His research and consultancy work have resulted in numerous co-authored publications on environmental psychology, sustainable land management, and ecological restoration.

Dr. Fenianos has also lectured at institutions such as University Paul Valéry Montpellier, University Saint Joseph (USJ) and the American University of Beirut (AUB). He co-developed a professional Master’s program in environmental sciences at Beirut Arab University and has designed innovative pedagogical tools to enhance ecological awareness. Beyond academia, he has spearheaded community-driven conservation efforts, developing ecotourism initiatives, educational documentaries, and cultural trails to promote environmental stewardship.
