Joy Kanaan

Joy Kanaan is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a degree in architecture and a minor in urban planning.  After working for several years in Los Angeles and New York on large scale projects for DMJM and Haines Lundberg Whaeler, she founded joy kanaan architects in Lebanon, in 2003, working on both residential and cultural projects.  The office carries out both architecture and interiors projects. Her work has been featured in several publications such as The Daily Star, Deco, Fabrics & Architecture, and L’Orient Le Jour.  Joy is currently a board member of the ACA –Arab Center for Architecture- as well as an associate member of the American Institute of Architects in the USA.
