Maher Berro joined LAU as a faculty member in 2013, bringing his passion for User Experience Design and Digital Media to the School of Architecture and Design. As a senior lecturer, Maher’s commitment extends beyond the classroom. He enthusiastically engages with students, fostering their cognitive growth and nurturing their creative thinking.

With nearly two decades of experience as both an academic and practitioner, Maher’s journey in the fields of interior design and visual communication began in 1998 and shifted to interactive, user experience, and human-centered design in the mid-2000s. In addition to his role at LAU, Maher runs his own design and consultancy business, serving a diverse clientele locally, regionally, and internationally. His current focus centers on interaction design, where he strives to craft immersive experiences and champion inclusive design.

Maher’s expertise spans various design disciplines, including communication, design thinking, product design, accessibility, usability, interaction design, and human-centered design. His true passion lies in tailoring intuitive user experiences within the dynamic and ever-evolving digital landscape. Maher’s dedication to his craft and his students shines through, making him an esteemed member of our academic community.
