About

Marie-Lyne Samaha

Marie-Lyne Samaha is the co-founder of MAD Architecture and Design, established in 2012. Her work explores how architecture can engage with its surroundings while expressing a contemporary interpretation of Lebanese identity. Each project reflects a refined balance between cultural context, material honesty, and modern design, resulting in spaces that are rooted yet forward-looking.

Holding a Master’s degree in Sustainable Architecture from France, her practice embraces sustainability as a core design principle, integrating environmental awareness with spatial and aesthetic innovation. Her portfolio spans multiple scales, from product and interior design to architectural and urban projects, all driven by a sensitivity to place and craftsmanship.

In parallel, Marie-Lyne contributes to architectural education, viewing it as a platform to exchange ideas and inspire new approaches to design thinking and sustainability.
