B.E. Civil Engineering Specialization Structural Engineering and Public Works, Lebanese University, Lebanon

Najwa Hany is a part-time Instructor at the School of Architecture and Design and the School of Engineering at LAU – Beirut.  She joined LAU in Summer 2017 after graduating with a PhD in Civil Engineering from AUB.  Since then she taught courses related to Structural and Material Engineering for Architecture and Engineering students. She is also a part-time Instructor at Phoenicia University and has previously held the positions of Research Associate at AUB and Assistant Professor at Beirut Arab University.

Research Interests

Dr. Hany’s research interests comprise investigating efficient techniques for strengthening and rehabilitation of reinforced concrete structures by performing experimental testing, and numerical and analytical modeling. She is also interested in modeling different structural systems and structural elements using the finite element method.
