Sandra Joseph

French State Diploma (Diplôme d’État en Architecture), École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris-Malaquais.

Sandra Joseph is an architect who explored a wide spectrum of architectural practice.
She earned her degree from ENSAPM, where she engaged with diverse design studios ranging from Art et Politique to Architecture de Performance, before developing a particular interest in the notion of l’abri. Her work explored ways to improve the spatial quality of compact housing within the dense urban fabric of Paris, where constraints became opportunities to rethink dwelling.
During her master’s studies, along with her thesis in urban design, Sandra specialized in digital architecture and robotics, developing algorithmic design methods that integrate moving geometry and material behavior. She constructed a low-tech robotic system capable of molding concrete with a single reusable formwork, producing a curved wall through robotic motion.

Professionally, Sandra began her career working on residential architecture before expanding her practice toward large-scale infrastructural and governmental projects across Europe. Her work integrated residential design within broader frameworks of urban analysis, using architecture as a tool to study collective behavior. She explored how urban decisions influence the life of the city, leading to the development of contextually responsive programs and adaptive urban strategies. Combining urban and digital practices, Sandra contributed to projects involving coastal design, post-catastrophe island reconfiguration, and urban mobility infrastructures such as Canal Seine-Nord-Europe and EuroVélo. She also completed the RE2020 environmental training, reinforcing her ability to integrate sustainability in her work.

She currently teaches at the Lebanese American University and serves as a Project Manager on residential developments, pursuing sustainable, energy-conscious design within the local context.
