Beirut Design Week

The LAU School of Architecture and Design in collaboration with Beirut Design Week 2013, is hosting the Beirut Design Week conference on June 28 -29.
The Beirut Design Week conference welcomes designers, architects and educators from various fields and disciplines around the world to share their design knowledge and skills with the audience. This event aims to foster peer communication and networking among all involved, and sets the tone as one of mutual learning. It will include lectures and panels focusing on civic design, design for social change, biocouture, food design, design research, architecture, mobile technology, 3D printing and intellectual property rights.
June 28: two fashion design workshops conducted by Jason Steel,
- “Commercial = boring right?” 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
- “Fashion Illustration: Exploring Energy and Mark Making” 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

June 29: There will also be a fashion design panel addressing fashion design entrepreneurship and education gathering speakers from around the globe.
