The Foundation Program at the School of Architecture and Design is hosting a lecture by Fritz Hortsman titled: “Josef Albers: Vision First”, where Albers educator Fritz Hortsman will deliver a presentation on the influential teaching and art of Josef Albers. A panel discussion lead by architect and educator Prof. Antoine Romanos, LAU will follow the lecture.
Fritz Hortsman is artist residency and education coordinator at the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation. He frequently presents workshops based on Josef Albers’s colors, material, and structural teaching to museums and arts organizations. Hortsman is also an artist who works with landscape and the perception of natural phenomena. He has recently exhibited his sculptures and installations in New York, Boston, Japan, France, and California.
