Graphic Design students awarded the International Society of Typographic Designers (ISTD) membership.

Graphic Design students Marie-Therese Assaf, Jenny Issa, and Ghady Al Achkar, have successfully passed the annual student assessment scheme of International Society of Typographic Designers (ISTD) 2023 and were awarded an ISTD membership.
The ISTD, an Affiliate Member of Icograda, is a professional body run by and for typographers, graphic designers and educators. The society has an international membership and its aims are to establish and maintain standards of typography and to provide a forum for debate.
The ISTD student assessment scheme, started in 1975, is cited as a model of academic thoroughness and professionalism. Unlike many others, the scheme is not a competition as it considers the holistic achievement – not just the final outcome.
A significant feature of the ISTD ME student assessment is the additional requirement for the students to carry out their projects in 2 scripts, Arabic and Latin.
