Leveraging AI in Art, Architecture, and Design Education
The School of Architecture and Design’s Teaching and Learning Committee held its first faculty development workshop: “Leveraging AI in Art, Architecture, and Design Education” on Friday, March 28, 2025. This five-hour online workshop, instructed by designer and LAU faculty member Hayat Sheikh, addressed how generative Artificial Intelligence is transforming creative disciplines. Participants were guided through the application of AI in creative processes, including conception, mood boarding, initial sketches, and final renders. The workshop emphasized the integration of AI tools into both practice and classroom instruction, while also discussing ethical considerations and future directions in higher education.
