Design, Build, Create: The Interior Design Summer Camp

Have you ever imagined designing your own space? Do you love working with different materials, experimenting with textures, and bringing ideas to life? Are you excited to sketch, design, model, and build using wood, metal, fabrics, ceramics, and 3D printing?
If so, LAU’s School of Architecture and Design’s Interior Design Summer Camp is for you! 

This hands-on camp is a one-of-a-kind experience where you’ll get to: 

  •   Work with diverse materials—wood, metal, marble, fabrics, ceramics, and more! 
  •   Experiment with fabrication techniques, from woodworking and joinery to 3D printing and printmaking. 
  •   Develop spatial skills as you explore structure, form, and design principles. 
  •   Learn from expert designers and discover how interior spaces are designed. 
  •   Collaborate with like-minded creatives and have fun building, crafting, and creating.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have hands-on experiences and a fresh perspective on what it means to shape interior spaces. 

Eligibility Requirement

The Interior Design Summer Camp is offered for high school students who have completed Grade 10 or Grade 11.

Four days in the Byblos Campus, and one full-day in the Beirut Campus.

Fees

750 USD to be paid within seven days of receiving acceptance notification from the School of Architecture and Design. Payment can be made at any OMT or BOB Finance branch (details to be communicated in the acceptance email).
Paid fees will cover the following:

  • Accommodation in fully equipped double occupancy LAU dorm rooms
  • Three meals per day (including meals during outings)
  • Raw material and kits for interior design activities and hands-on projects
  • Outing fees
  • Transportation to and from LAU during outings
  • Fun activities, games, etc.
  • Accident insurance
  • Completion certificate
  • LAU Memorabilia gift
  • Completion reception

Paid fees are not refundable.

The summer camp will run 2 back-to-back cohorts:

  • Session 1: Sunday June 29 to Friday July 04, 2025
  • Session 2: Sunday July 06 to Friday July 12, 2025
